Franklin Delano “Frank” Edwards, 88, parted ways with this world on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in his home after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.
He was born May 28, 1936, near Cape Fair, Mo. on James River in Stone County, the son of Charles “Efton” and Bessie (Ray) Edwards, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death was one brother; two sisters and a step-grandson, Cody Blankenship.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Ellen Thomas; one daughter, Carolyn Blankenship, and her husband Freddie; two grandsons; three great-grandkids; two great-great-grandkids; one step-granddaughter; one brother and five sisters.
He went to school at Mt. Zion, Munsey, Eagle Rock, Fairview, and Cassville. He lived most of his life in Barry County. He was a truck driver and drove for a lot of different companies including Farmers CO-OP in Monett for 16 years and hauled live and frozen poultry. Frank worked for Forest Products Incorporated for almost 14 years.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services.
