Jeff Reed, age 60, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on August 11, 2024. The son of Gary “Cotton” and Connie Hilburn Reed, Jeff was born on April 12, 1964, in Monett.

On June 1, 2013, Jeff married the love of his life, Liz Caldwell; she survives. He was a 1982 graduate of Cassville. He enjoyed ranching, horses, and rodeos; he loved to team rope. Jeff was a partner with Gary Fields Farms for many years and was a lifetime member of North America Corrientes Association.

Additional survivors include his daughter, Nellie Jo of the home; his son, Cooper Stout of Fayetteville, Arkansas; special nephew Cotton Reed of Exeter; three sisters, Brandy Hobson and her husband Michael of Joplin, Casey Himmelsbach and her husband Reece, of Vineyard, Utah, and Jana Babst and her husband Robert, of Navarre, Florida; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and hundreds of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Evelyn Reed, Clifford and Kathleen Hilburn, and David and Jeane Lemon; Uncle Billy Leon Hilburn; cousin Mason Lowe; and many close friends over the years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville, with James Weaver and Joe Brattin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Nellie Jo and entrusted to the funeral home.
