The Barry County Extension Council will host its annual picnic on Sept. 10 at the Memorial Park in Cassville.
The meal will begin at 6 p.m. The Extension Council will provide meat, drinks, plates and utensils. The public is invited to attend. Those who attend are encouraged to bring a side dish and lawn chairs.
The newest Barry County Century Farms will be honored, as well as Century Farms will be recognized. Fair exhibits from Barry County 4-H members will also be on display.
‘This is a great opportunity for everyone to come out and get to know the Extension council members, and learn all that Extension has to offer,’ said David Samuel, Extension Council chairperson.
The Barry County Extension Council is comprised of elected and appointed residents of Barry County who assist and advise Extension faculty and staff in guiding local educational programs, including agriculture, nutrition, 4-H, Master Gardeners. The Barry County Extension office is located on the second floor of the Courthouse in Cassville.
