Virginia Lee Amos

Virginia Lee Amos, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Dorset Place Memory Care in Oklahoma City, Okla.

She was born July 20, 1931, in Barry County, Mo., the daughter of Lloyd John and Georgia Virginia (Keeling) Linebarger, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, William Franklin “Bill” Amos; sister, Mabel Ruth Linebarger and brothers, John Earl Linebarger and Carl Dean Linebarger.

Survivors include one son Brent Amos and his wife Sheila of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Karla Kuklaw and her husband Curtiss of Cassville, Mo. and Cheryl Reichman and her husband Jonathan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She grew up in Butterfield, Mo., graduating from the Butterfield School System, later attending beauty college. She was a beautician for over 30 years before retiring. After both Virginia and Bill retired, they moved to Tulsa, Okla. She then moved to Oklahoma City after Bill passed away. Sher was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rev. Jonathan C. Reichman conducted the service.
