James returns kick to the 30, Goutney gains 5, Rose gets 1, Goutney stopped a yard short of the first, Bailey falls for the first in his first rush of the season back from injury. Rose gains 4, Roark breaks right, stiff arms a tackler and sidesteps another for a 47-yard gain. Rose gains 3, then pushes in from the 1. PAT is blocked and game is tied 6-6 with 6:32 left in the first.
Tigers return to their 41, run gains 6, fumble on next run recovered by Lamar to force third and 3, QB keeper gains the first. Pass incomplete, run gains 6, Thompson stuffs the run to make it fourth and 5, and after a timeout, the pass is dropped and PI is called on Lamar and de lined. Wildcats take over on downs at own 41.
Goutney gains 3, Rose adds 3, pass complete to Roark for 29 yards and a first. Goutney gains 7, then a first to the 13. Roark gets 1.

Rose gains 2, Roark rights through a tackle and stretches the ball inside the 1 for a first. Goutney follows blockers to put Cassville up 12-6 after PAT snap is high.
Pooch kick downed at Tigers 44, run gains a few but chop block brings it back 15, run gains 10, another gains 2, pass under pressure picked by Roark and returned about 50 yards to the house. Goutney punches in for 2 and Cassville leads 20-6 with 8:49 left in the second.
Tigers down kick at one 42. Quarterback keeps it and finds a hole to go 58 yards to score. Wildcats stop conversion short and keep 20-12 lead with 8:37 left in the second.
Thompson downs bouncing kick at own 37, Bailey skips free to gain 3, Thompson adds 1, Bailey stopped behind the line to make it fourth and 8, Wildcats punt returned to the Lamar 22.
Run gains 10 for a first. Pass gets another at the Tigers 43. Runner breaks loose to the Cassville 30. Pass overthrown, run gains 4, false start moves it back, run gains a first to the 19. Run gains 7, QB finds way in from 12 out. Dive over the line stopped by Cassville to keep the lead, 20-18, with 2:46 left in the second.
Low, bouncing kickoff recovered by Lamar at Cassville 38. Run gains 10 for a first. Next run does the same. Freed tackles for a loss of 3, gain of 3 brings third and 10, run gains 6 and Lamar takes timeout with 21.5 seconds left in the first half. Run just gains a first, ball spiked with 13.3 seconds. Pass to end zone through receiver’s hands with 8.2 seconds left, forcing third and 7. Next pass incomplete with 3.5 seconds. Norris stuffs the QB keeper to keep the lead into the break.
Halftime: Cassville 20, Lamar 18
Wildcats down kick at own 38. Goutney gains 3, Toark breaks free for a first to Lamar’s 43. Thompson held at the line, Rose gains 4, then cuts upfield for a first at the 18. Roark gains 4, Rose adds 3 more, then gets a first at the 5. Roark drags tacklers over the pylon and Rose converts 2 to put Wildcats up 28-18 with 7:33 left in the third.
Kick downed at the 50. Run gains 6, then 3, third and short loses 1 to bring fourth and 2. Cassville holds and takes over on downs at own 41.
Bailey gains 8, Rose gets a first to the Tigers 32. Rose gains 3, Roark adds 5, Rose converts on third down to the 22. Rose gains 3, Bailey gets to the 5 but holding brings it back, Bailey gains 4 to bring third and 11, Rose scrambles and busts through a tackle for 8, and after timeout, Rose sweep left way short. Tigers take over on downs at own 17.
Run gains 5, snap is dropped but QB pick it up and connects all the way to Cassville’s 46. Next run gains to the 31.
End 3Q: Cassville 28, Lamar 18
Run called for holding, next one gains 5, pass to the goal line broken up but called for pass interference, penalty puts ball at 21 and first down. False start moves it back 5, open receiver hit for 26-yard TD strike, 2-point play converted. Cassville holds 28-26 lead with 10:39 to play.
Rose returns to Cassville 25, Thompson gains 2, Goutney stopped at the line, Roark reels in catch at the yard to gain. Bailey loses 4, Roark gains a first but called for unsportsmanlike conduct for pointing the first down. Ball places on the 47 for first and 10. Bailey gets 6, then 3, then a first at the 41. Thompson gains 10, is hit late and ball moves to the 14. Bailey gains 2, Thompson stopped at the line, Rose flushed out of the pocket and throws it away, holding call decline and its fourth and 8, Roark catches a lobbed ball in the corner of the end zone for a 12-yard strike. Wildcats melt 7 minutes off the clock and go up 35-26 with 3:23 left to play.
Tigers return to own 48. Pass complete to Cassville’s 36. Pass complete to the 3. Run stuffed at the 5, then at the 2, Tigers score on third down. False start on 2-point play moves it back 5, pass barely caught near the ground and Cassville clinging to 35-34 lead with 1:26 to go.
Yang recovers at own 49 and endures a big hit. Thompson gains 2, Lamar takes first timeout with 1:20 to play. Roark gains 1 to force third and 7 with 1:15 to go. Roark a yard short of the first to bring fourth and inches, Cassville takes timeout with 27 seconds left. Roark gains the first and time expires.
