The Barry County Sheriff’s Office located three stolen vehicles on Sept. 17.
First, Deputy Forester responded to an abandoned vehicle located at Kid’s Across America in Golden, locating a 2016 Kia Optima stolen out of Sarpy County, Neb.
At this time, no suspect has been identified. The vehicle arrived to the campground sometime in July or August.
Later that day, Det. Berner responded to Farm Road 1135 (oId Roaring River Road) for a truck in the creek bed. A 1993 Chevy 1500 was located, stolen out of McDonald County.
Jeremy Cape, 41, of Purdy, was located in the driver’s seat of the truck. Cape was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending criminal charges.
Finally, Deputy Rackley took a report for a stolen 2021 Kawasaki Mule, quickly locating the stolen Mule at the L & L Gas Station in Eagle Rock, where the suspect was attempting to sell it. Dustin Lacey was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending criminal charges.
