Mercy to end Anthem contracts

After months of negotiation with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Mercy has provided written notice to end its contracts with Anthem in the state of Missouri. These contracts include all commercial, Medicare Advantage, Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, managed Medicaid plans (Healthy Blue) and HealthLink (which falls under the Anthem BCBS umbrella).

Cassville grad to cheer on College GameDay

Jacob Hall, a 2020 Cassville graduate and lineman for the state runner-up football team, will likely be featured on national television Saturday as part of College GameDay. After graduation, Hall attended Pitt State University, graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in physical education. He was a member of the Pitt State Cheer Squad and competed nationally every year. After graduating from Pitt, he was accepted to the University of Oklahoma, pursuing a Master’s degree in educational administration, curriculum and supervision. Hall tried out and was selected to the OU Cheer squad in May. College GameDay will be broadcast on Saturday from the OU campus in Norman, Okla.
