Barbara Ann Ray, 76, of Butterfield, Mo. passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home.
She was born September 20, 1948, in Mexico, Mo. the daughter of Leland and Martha (Spurling) Crews, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband Charlie A. Ray Survivors include one son, Tommy Ray and his wife Monique of Washburn, Mo.; two daughters, Martha Stanley and her husband Chris of Kirbyville, Mo. and Sarah Ray of Lincoln, Ark.; two brothers, Ed Crews and his wife Estlle of Sidney British Columbia, Canada and Fred Crews and his wife Jeanie of Mexico, Mo.; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She grew up and attended school in Mexico, Mo. graduating from Mexico High School in 1966. She moved to Butterfield in 1972.
She was employed by Ellis, Cupps and Cole for 22 years as a legal secretary. She and Charlie were co-owners and operators of George Ray & Sons Feed Store in Cassville, she was a member of the Women’s Democrat Club and First Butterfield Women’s Auxiliary.
She was a member of Butterfield Baptist Church.
Services were Monday, October 7, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Mike Renfrow conducted the services. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo.
