Rescheduled Rotary Rodeo rides into town

Rescheduled due to a heavy windstorm six days before the original dates, the Cassville Rotary Rodeo is returning for its 84th installment.

The Cassville Rotary Club and Cassville FFA Booster Club have teamed up once again to bring two nights of action-packed rodeo fun to Bill Hailey Arena Friday and Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. both nights The annual rodeo has been a staple in Barry County for the past 84 years, and the event’s profits help support many youth activities, including Rotary and FFA scholarships, learning opportunities for Interact and FFA members through exploratory field trips and seminars.

“Rotary and Booster members have worked diligently to bring you a great event,” said Jennifer Privett Cassville FFA Booster Club President. “We are looking to bring the excitement to Cassville again this year. We will be hosting our annual rodeo queen contest, as well as bringing back some small town charm with the Rodeo Parade down Main Street.”

The Rodeo Parade will lineup at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, then travel from the Family Life Center parking lot to Bill Hailey arena starting at 5 p.m. Any community member, club or organization is welcome to participate. Businesses sponsoring the rodeo are also invited to participate in the parade displaying signage, employees and smiling faces.

“I remember the Rodeo Parade when I was a kid,” said Todd Mitchell, FFA Booster Club member. “I think it is great we are bringing back these traditions for our kids to witness.”

To purchase pre-sale tickets please reach out to a 2024 rodeo queen candidate. They include: Emma Privett, Blakely Johnson, Jaycee Lile and Camille Tucker.

Tickets at the gate are $10 for 13-and-up and $5 for ages 6-12.
