Dear Editor:
Thank you to everyone who attended the inaugural Heritage Festival at the Depot and park in Wheaton on Oct. 12.
Thank you to blacksmith Dennis Berry, Bow Wood Stud Farm and the Stapelton family for carriage rides, Mark Moller and family for the wagon rides, the Leverich family for sharing the homemade ice cream and antique equipment, and the Harris family for bringing antique machines used every day long ago.
Thank you to our food and craft vendors. Thank you to the city of Wheaton, Wheaton Fire Department, Wheaton schools staff, FFA, Student Council, PTCO, and for the support offered us by local and area businesses.
And, to all our volunteers who staffed our tents the Bean Shack, helped with the Depot Museum set up and tear down, decorated and everything else — way to go and thank you!
