Russell Dale “Russ” Johnson, 44, of Monett, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
He was born April 24, 1980 in Springfield, Mo., the son of Penelope Brown and Ricky Strong.
Survivors include his mother, Penelope (Johnson) Brown of Exeter, Mo.; the love of his life, LaRita Chambers of Purdy, Mo.; four sons, Payton Campbell of Monett, Mo., Parker Campbell of San Antonio, Texas, Paxton Campbell of Monett, Mo., and Presley Campbell of Milton, Fla.; three stepchildren, Destiny Lacy of Monett, Mo., Noah Stanley of Monett, Mo., and Ryan Stanley of Monett, Mo.; four brothers, Steve Johnson of Exeter, Mo., Israel Brown of Exeter, Mo., Emanuel Brown of Dillard, Neb., and Anthony Brown, of Exeter, Mo.; one sister, Krissa Strong of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his father, Ricky Strong.
He attended school in Monett, Mo., graduating from Monett High School in 1998. He was employed by Seven Valleys Construction in Cassville, Mo., as a heavy equipment operator.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Minister Carl Carlson will conduct the services.
