Johnny Fain, in the neon shirt at left, senior technician with Johnson Controls, said the facility is the most technologically advanced in the state. He pointed to the smoke control panel (not pictured due to safety reasons) in the tower room as an example, as it allows for air control in each individual cell, pod and room in the case of a fire or need for use of mace during an altercation. The ability to turn off water in each cell, as well as a grinder in the wastewater line to destroy any possible clogging attempts, are additional features unique to the facility.
