Thomas Elvis “Tom” Foster

Thomas Elvis “Tom” Foster, age 78, of Jenkins, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his home.

He was born August 15, 1946 in Shell Knob, Missouri the son of Alfred Loren and Clara Bell (Batson) Foster, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Weaver Jackson Foster and Joseph Sanders Foster and three sisters, Martha Francis Wierman, Wanda Lou Foster, and Marie June Foster.

Surviving are three brothers, Fred Foster of Paris, Texas, Glen Foster of Cassville, Missouri and George Foster and his wife Patricia of Jenkins, Missouri; three sisters, Viola Maebell Lynd and her husband Jackie Morgan of Cassville, Missouri, Kathen Debra Sue Branham of Aurora, Missouri and Anna Jane WilsonofPurdy,Missouri; close friends, Chip and Dana Kammerlohr and Gary Chaney, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Tom grew up in the Southwest Missouri area, graduating from Cassville High School in 1965. He was self-employed most of his life, he mowed lawns and washed windows around Cassville and was employed by the Cassville School System as a janitor for a few years. Tom enjoyed talking, he did not know a stranger and would visit with everyone. He liked to go hunting, fishing, and camping and watch John Wayne movies. Tom was baptized at Corinth Baptist Church in 1978. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services.

Contributions may be made to American Heart Association in memory of Tom.
