Home Opinion Trout Tales Trout TalesDecember 10, 2024Opinion What a night it was Saturday on Main Street! The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Christmas Parade had more than 130 entries, and the parade itself lasted nearly 90 minutes. I made me tired watching boss Troutman jogging up and down the street trying to get good pictures. I also tried to tell him to charge his phone battery more or it would die during the live stream — amature. Our coverage aside, I had a great time seeing so many different floats this year. From the Sign & Dandy “Shrek the Halls” Jeep to Cassville Sealing and Striping’s elaboarte “Polar Express” train, not to mention the bands and school sports teams, all the Cassville Cruisers vehicles and so many other unique entries too many to name, this year’s show was a great one. And, about all of Cassville turned out for it! With such mild weather, the street was lined with spectators as far as my fish eye could see. I’d bet it was the largest single event gathering in the county this year, and there was more than enough candy for all! I just have one question: How does the Grinch do it all? He was on multiple floats, dancing on the street with the Southwest marching band and even across from the Democrat office just watching the floats go by. Main Street was essentially a Grinch version of that meme of the two Spidermen pointing at one another. Anyway, thanks for the memories, Cassville. No Bah Humbug here!
