Meet Emmett, this week’s Pet of the Week! He was born June 20, 2017, and he’s a brown and black Belgian Shepherd Malinois/American Bulldog mix. He was brought to us when his owners could no longer care for him. He has spent most of his life as a mostly-outdoor dog with other dogs, in a home where he suffered from a lot of separation anxiety. Unfortunately for Emmett, his people in the past have failed him. We think he could learn by example with some well-mannered dog siblings. He does not get along with cats, chickens, or other small animals, as he has a decent amount of prey drive. He does seem to be house-trained, and does fine for short periods of time in a large kennel. Adopters can complete an application at www.havenoftheozarks. org/adopt. No appointment is needed. The Haven is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. All Haven of the Ozarks pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped.
