Sharon “Sue” Hughes, age 81, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Sue, daughter of Alvin and Goldie (Massey) Moore, was born on October 15, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio. Sue married the love of her life, James C. Hughes on October 25, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio.
Mom was a big personality in a small package. Sharon “Sue” Hughes was the embodiment of unconditional love from the moment we were born to the moment of her last breath. Her love for us and family remained constant, unwavering, and boundless.
What we want to remember about mom is the way she loved our father, Jim Hughes. They did everything TOGETHER! For 58 years they made a family, found Jesus Christ, and traveled the world. Doing all of it together hand in hand.
Next would be her love for Jesus Christ. When the first and second most important commandments were given, Mom took it on herself to carry those commandments out for the rest of her life. Her heart was full of love and compassion for every neighbor and person she met over her lifetime.
