A variety of bluegrass bands will perform every Friday night, from 7-9 p.m., through Sept. 30 at the Roaring River Shelter at Roaring River State Park. About 10 bands will play at some point this summer, and admission to every show is free. Saturday performances will also be held for Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs, and a tip jar will be set up for the bands.
Cassville water system report available
The City of Cassville’s water quality report for the year 2021 is now available online at www.dnr.mo.gov/ ccr/mo5010144.pdf. The document, also called a Consumer Confidence Report, provides important information about the City’s efforts to provide safe drinking water. Residents can find detailed information about where their drinking water comes from as well as what trace elements (contaminants) have been detected. Residents can call City Hall at 417-847-4441 to obtain a printed copy of the report and to obtain more information on the municipal water system
Republican Club to meet
The Barry County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on May 26 at the Barry County Museum.
Alumni Reunion on May 28
The annual Cassville High School Alumni Reunion will be held on May 28 in the CHS Commons Area. All-school reunion at Southwest on tap
The Washburn/Seligman/Southwest All-School Reunion will be held on May 28 in the Southwest High School commons area, located at 529 E. Pineville Road in Washburn. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m., there will be a short business meeting at 10:30 a.m., and lunch will start serving at 11:30 a.m.. Lunch is being catered by John Sullivan with a complete meal, drink and dessert for $12. Raffle tickets will also be sold for several nice items that have been donated. Price is $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5. Some items are: quilts, custom made bookcase, laptop computer, Making Memories gift certificates, oil change and tire rotation, various gift certificates and other items. It is recommended to bring cash, if possible. There are a few surprises planned as well. All are encouraged to attend for a day of fun, food and old friends.

The Capps Creek Special Road District will meet in regular session on Tuesday at noon at the home of Garry and Pam Bartkoski, located at 5086 Farm Road 2057 in Monett. The public is welcome to attend.
Season’s first Cruise-In coming up
The Cassville Cruisers will host a Cruise-In on Saturday from 5 p.m. to dusk at the Barry County Museum, south of Cassville on Highway 112. Admission is free, and the Boy Scouts will provide concessions. Monthly meetings are the Tuesday prior to the Cruise-In at Sho Me Plaza on Highway 248 in Cassville at 7 p.m. For more information on the car club, people may visit www.cassvillecruisers.com.
Cornhole tournament in Eagle Rock
On Saturday, The Class of 2022 Project Graduation will host a Cornhole Tournament at the Eagle Rock Community Center. Doors Open at noon with a blind draw at 1:30 p.m., and bags start flying at 2 p.m. People may pre-register by Contacting Heather Carroll at 417-342-6241.
Truck raffle to benefit family
A 2005 single cab shortbed Chevy pickup truck is being raffled to benefit a local family affected by breast cancer. Tickets may be purchased at The Shop by D and L, located at 503 Mill St. in Cassville. Entrants must be 18 years of age, and each ticket is $10. The winner will be drawn at the Wheaton Cruise-in on Oct. 1.
Seligman dances ongoing each Saturday
The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. For more information, people may call 417-662-3612.
