Cassville native Levi Pollreisz has been promoted from assistant to Culver-Stockton College head women’s volleyball coach, announced recently by Athletic Director Pat Atwell.
“We are excited to promote Levi to the position of head women’s volleyball coach,” Atwell said. “During the interview process, Levi presented a vision for the women’s volleyball program that was impressive. He has the support of the current students on the team and has a passion for volleyball that should lead to success. We think that this smooth transition will be incredibly good for our program.”
Pollreisz joined the men’s and women’s volleyball programs as an assistant coach at the start of the 2021-22 school year. During his only season as an assistant, Pollreisz helped the women’s volleyball program compile a 9-21 overall record and a 5-14 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
The five league victories were the most since the Wildcats captured 10 Heart victories during the 2015 campaign.
“I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to take over the women’s program here on The Hill,” Pollreisz said. “I am thankful for all of the help and support I’ve already received from many on campus and I look forward to continuing to be a part of and contribute to the amazing community here at Culver-Stockton.
“This team has all the potential to make some big strides within the conference this upcoming season and I cannot wait to get back in the gym to continue to build and grow as a program.”
Prior to Culver-Stockton, Pollreisz served as a graduate assistant at Hastings College (Neb.) for two seasons where he worked primarily with hitters and blockers. He also assisted the head coach with the planning and execution of practices, recruiting and scouting.
Pollreisz has also served as an assistant coach at the Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camps in Cave Creek, Ariz., since 2016 and has coached club teams for the Kirksville (Mo.) Area Volleyball Association
During his time as an undergraduate at Truman State University, Pollreisz served as a student assistant coach with the Truman State University volleyball program.
Pollreisz, a native of Cassville, earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Truman State in 2019 before joining Hastings as a graduate assistant and earning a master’s degree in education in 2021.
