Darren Lee Soard, 57, of Shell Knob, Mo., died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield.

He was born Sept. 19, 1964, in Fremont, Cali., the son of Ira Lee and Luceta Louise (DeBusk) 417-652-7268 Soard.

Surviving are his mother, Luceta Soard-Staats of Shell Knob; one son, Tye Soard of Kansas City; one daughter, Brandee Klieber and her husband Timothy of Illinois; and two brothers, Curtis Soard and his wife Shannon, of Jenks, Okla., and Donnie Soard of Olathe, Kan.

Darren gradPreceding him in death were his father; one sister, Darla Kay Soard and his stepfather, Benjamin Joseph Staats.

Darren graduated from Liberty High School in Kansas City. After graduation he worked several jobs before becoming a truck driver. He was employed by Convoy Trucking in Kansas City.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bob Gaddis will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at First Baptist Church in Shell Knob.

Contributions may be made to Mile of Pennies at Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in Mt. Vernon, or First Baptist Church in Shell Knob.
