The Cassville softball team (13-10) earned the top seed in the Class 3, District 6 Tournament, being played this week on the new turf field Cassville High School.
Games began on Tuesday, with the No. 1 Lady Wildcats defeating No. 8 Osage (0-14) by a score of 15-0, and No. 4 Reeds Spring (11-13) topping No. 5 Eldon (4-20) by a score of 10-1.
Today, No. 2 Versailles (1214) faces No. 7 Aurora (4-17) at 4 p.m. and No. 3 Seneca (9-18) plays No. 6 Logan-Rogersville (2-23) at 5:30 p.m.
Cassville is undefeated against district opponents in the regular season, earning wins in all five games: 2-0 over Reeds Spring, 9-5 over Logan-Rogersville, 8-2 over Seneca, and 19-1 and 11-0 over Aurora.
Semifinals are scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m., with Cassville facing Reeds Spring, and 6:30 p.m., with the Versailles-Aurora winner facing the Seneca-Logan-Rogersville winner. The championship game is Friday at 5 p.m.
