Jerry Hubert Forrester, 82, of Rocky Comfort, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

He was born Sept. 25, 1940, in Lawrence County, the son of Milford and Bessie (Noe) Forrester, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was wife, Sandra Timmons; wife, Delores June Poe; an infant daughter, Elizabeth; one brother, James Barrett and two sisters, Imogene Burrow and Annabelle Carsten.

Surviving are two daughters Jayna Sewell and her husband Mark of Bella Vista, Ark., and Michele Gaither of Rocky Comfort; one sister, Kathy Jaroszewski and her husband Travis of Sargent, Texas and two grandchildren.

He attended high school in Point Lookout, Missouri graduating from School of the Ozarks. After graduating he joined the United States Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheaton.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at First Baptist Church in Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Brother Kenneth Carney conducted the services.
