The Southwest Missouri Council of Governments will host a public meeting on Thursday to gather public input on the transportation needs of seniors and individuals who have disabilities or who are impoverished.
The meeting will be from 9-11 a.m. at Cassville City Hall, located at 300 Main St in Cassville The regional Public Transit Human Services Coordination Plan (PTHSCP) will help to identify projects and organizations eligible for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 grant funding. The input of area human service agencies and transportation providers will be combined with the results of a transportation user survey to update the current regional PTHSCP.
The Public Transit Human Services Coordination Plan contains five key elements regarding transportation in the Ozarks. It contains demographic information about the area’s population and information about local service providers.
The PTHSCP will also have a needs assessment and will identify strategies for addressing those needs This survey will provide important information for that assessment. Finally, the document will outline an implementation strategy for improving transportation options for the area.

This is great to try to improve services. No one contacted me about the meeting. Since we are the only Taxi, Cab, NEMT Provider based in Cassville. To bad I’m so busy getting people to medical appointments I cannot attend.
