Charles Arthur “Charlie” Meier, 88, of Neosho, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at Oak Pointe of Neosho in Neosho.
He was born December 29, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Lawrence and Francis (Sheehan) Meier, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Kay Helen Kennedy; one son, Daniel Meier and one brother, Paul Meier.
Survivors include one son, Gary Meier and his wife Dee Dee of Lee’s Summit; one daughter, Susan Judy and her husband Dan of Neosho; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He grew up and attended school in Spring Hill, Kansas graduating from Spring Hill High School, later attending KU-University of Kan.
He joined the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He was a member at Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob.
Services was held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Central Community United Methodist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bill Kenagy conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob, Missouri.
