Chili Feast for Camp Barnabas set

The Franz family will perform at Golden Baptist Church in Golden on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. The group will perform acoustic Christian and Americana roots music. This event will help Carly Anderson raise funds for the Camp Barnabas Leadership Academy Scholarship. Come enjoy the music while eating a bowl of chili for $5, then bid at the homemade dessert auction tables for a tasty treat to take home. Anderson is currently attending the Barnabas Leadership Academy 9-month gap year program. This has equipped her to pursue areas of biblical growth, leadership development, personal accountability, and work experience, resulting in a deeper understanding of God’s purpose in her life. She is also receiving five different certifications. Anderson believes this program was so beneficial to her that she has started a scholarship fund for future attendees who need to raise $10,000 to be in the program. Anderson has been a volunteer for Camp Barnabas the last five years, which is a summer camp for individuals with special needs. She has a true heart for the special needs community and plans to pursue a career field that will continue this ministry in her life.
