Bobby Gene Jones, 75, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was born March 28, 1947 in Rogers, Ark. the son of Edwin and Dorothy (Sumner) Jones, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Jerry Jones, Johnny Jones and Ronnie Jones.

Surviors include his ex-wife, Florence McIver; one son, Billy Jones and his wife Jeannie of Aurora; one step-son, Melvin Richard Beck of Aurora; one daughter, Jeannie Harper of Decatur, Ark.; three sisters, Mary Morrison of Branson, Janie Howard of Rogers, Ark. and JoDell Arnold of Bentonville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Bobby grew up and went to school in Rogers, Ark. He drove a truck for Rogers Iron and Metal Corporation and raised hogs.

He gave his life over to Jesus Christ at Lakeside Baptist Church in Rogers back in the 80s and he has been serving God ever since.

A private service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
