Wanda Fae Benfield, 82, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at home.

She was born April 2, 1941 in Glendale, Ariz., the daughter of Austin and Bessie (Garret) Maple, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Bobbie Dale Benfield; one daughter, Donna Hernandez and two brothers, Jerry Maple and Leroy Didway.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie Haney of Cassville, Barbara Deschwanden and her husband Dave of Auburn, Calif. and Christine Braden and her husband Eric of Orange, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Rowley of Okla.; eight grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Wanda worked at the State Hospital in California as a psychiatric technician for 45 years.

She had lived in Cassville for four months, moving from Tucson, Arizona.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
