Cassville Police investigating Tuesday afternoon incident

The Cassville Police Department is investigating the death of a person who was located in a vehicle following a motor vehicle accident.

According to Sgt. Donnie Privett, with the Cassville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of West 10th Street and County Farm Road, across from Ken’s Collision Center, for a motor vehicle accident at 2:08 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Officers arrived and found the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle deceased.

The accident occurred as the white GMC Sierra ran off the left side of the roadway, continued westbound and struck a utility pole, causing minor damage to the vehicle. 

This is an ongoing investigation and more details will be released when they become available.
