Carol Louise Scott, 78, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at her home.

She was born October 20, 1944 in Janesville, Wis., the daughter of Leo and Edith (Olin) Nehls, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was one son, Jeffery; one brother, Leonerd Nehls and one sister-in-law, Barbara Nehls.

Survivors include husband, Clarence “Bud” Scott; two daughters, Christina Houchin of Cloquet, Minn., and Denise Rufer of Evansville, Wis.; three sons, Adam Patton of Phoenix, Ariz., Noah Scott and his wife Brittany of Springfield, Ohio and Tom Scott of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Kenny Nehls of Evansville, Wis., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol grew up and attended school in Evansville, Wis., graduating from Evansville High School in 1963. She moved from Evansville to Rocky Comfort, Mo. in 1995. She was very involved in the Body of Christ Out Reach Ministries in Wheaton, Mo., where she was a member and had volunteered at the food pantry since 1999.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Body of Christ Out Reach Ministries in Wheaton, Mo. Pastor Gene Robinson and Larry Cooper will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Mo. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
