Dawgs run up the middle for a first to the 23, convert 3rd and 1 to the 10. On 3rd and goal from the 6, offside call moves it back to the 11. Gain of 2 and Dawgs blast 28-yard try into the line. After a stall in play, Ruark casually picks it up and returns to the 37.

PI moves Wildcats across midfield. Due to penalty at the end of the quarter, Cassville gets an untimed play and Rose gains 5.

First down the 35, short run and incomplete force third and long. Rose gains to the 26 for 4th and 1 and Jacobson converts on forward progress. Roark gains 8 on a catch and tackle break. Rose gains first to the 12. Jacobson busts up the middle to open the scoring. Cassville leads 7-0 with 7:49 left in 2Q.

Mishandled return put Aurora at own 12. Freshman Masin Bryan intercepts a pass at the 20 and rushes to open field for a pick-6. Personal foul after the play moves ball to the 1. Rose follows 3 to the pylon for a 2-point conversion. Wildcats lead 15-0 with 6:22 left in 2Q.

Morse tackles for 4-yard loss on third down. Jacobson returns punt to Dawgs 48. Roark RB pass to Ewing barely incomplete. Personal foul moves ball up to the 37 for a first.

Short runs and incomplete force 4th down with 1:57 in 2Q after Coach Weldy burns clock and calls a timeout. Turnover on downs at the Aurora 34.

Personal foul on Cassville moves it across midfield. Incomplete and Wildcats tackle for loss of 2. 1:01 left in 2Q.

Completions to the sidling inch Aurora closer. PI in the end zone moves Dawgs up to the 10 with 43 seconds to go in 2Q. Morse recovers a fumbled handoff and Cassville kneels out to halftime.

Halftime: Cassville 15, Aurora 0

Another mishandled return and Aurora starts at own 18. Cassville recovers another fumble, takes over at Aurora 24 and recovers own fumble.

Rhoades catches one up the middle, push on inside run puts it at the 1. Fumble at the goal line after one recovered at the line is returned by Aurora all the way to Cassville’s 16.

Aurora QB finds a gap for 16-yard score. Wildcats lead 15-7 with 8:07 left in 3Q.

Onside kick goes about 7 yards. Cassville gets ball at Dawgs 46. Rose pass picked off at the 33.

big completion for Aurora canceled by personal foul. On 2nd and 17, pass makes it 3rd and 5. Sweep gains a first. 5-yard TFL puts it at 3rd and 13. Incomplete pass leads to punt, shanked right and out at the Cassville 42.

Cassville goes three and out. Rose punt bounced out at Aurora 19. Dawgs gain a first after measurement.

Cassville forces another three and out. Dawgs punt and return brings it to the Cassville 38.

Roark runs for 4 to make its 3rd and 3. Bailey gains the first to Aurora’s 43. Rose lob to Ewing is picked at the 15, returned to Cassville 48.

Defense forces 3rd and 6, Aurora pass is incomplete. Punt is returned to the Cassville 19.

Bailey breaks free and is stripped at the Aurora 45, but Ewing picks it up and finished the play for a score. Cassville leads 22-7 with 5 minutes to play.

Aurora returns kick to Cassville 40. At 3rd and 3, Aurora recovers own fumble and gains a first to the 27. A couple more plays move it to the 5. Another run up to the 1, Dawgs dive in and fail conversion, making it 22-13 for Cassville with 2:34 to play.

Onside kick again fails to go 10 yards. Cassville takes ball at Aurora 48. One first down can win it. Wildcats punt on 4th and 10, Aurora returns to own 25. 1:33 left in the game.

Dawgs complete pass to Cassville 47. Another completion to the 1. Dawgs rush in, penalty flags flying everywhere for offsetting personal fouls on both teams. Cassville still leads, 22-19 after field goal is kicked into the line. 55 seconds to go.

Ewing recovers the onside kick and us crunched for the effort. The recovery allows Cassville to kneel out the clock.
