David Ross Adcock, 80, of Springfield, Mo. passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo.

He was born December 2, 1942, in Du Quoin, Ill., the son of William and Dorothy (Baxter) Adcock, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was one son, Bill; infant twins, Peter and Patti; an infant brother and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Fishback, and one grandchild.

He grew up and attended school in Kankakee, Ill. graduating from Kankakee High School. He was employed by Caterpillar Incorporated as a plant engineering supervisor for 31 years from where he retired. He was a member of Roaring River Baptist Church.

Services were held Friday, September 1, 2023 at Roaring River Baptist Church in Eagle Rock, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Scott Hill and Brother Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock, Mo.
