East 13th Street near Rocky Edmondson Park will be closed either Wednesday or Thursday due to construction associated with the city of Cassville’s sewer project.

“We do expect the closure to start after morning school traffic has cleared and for the street to be re-opened by the end of the work day,” said David Brock, Cassville public works director.

Those needing access to the Wildwood and East 13th Street during this time should use Highway 248 as a detour, both to and from that area.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Brock said the closure was still expected or Wednesday, but due to recent weather and the nature of the work, the closure may be delayed until Thursday.
