A Golden man was injured on Thursday in a wreck at 1:56 p.m. on Highway 86, one mile west of Eagle Rock.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael Hitch, 75, of Golden, was driving a 1988 Ford LT8501 heavy duty truck westbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Hitch suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

He was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
