Home Community Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week, Jan. 16 Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week, Jan. 16January 16, 2024Community, Lifestyle Rooster recently spent some time in foster care due to the cold weather. Here is what the foster family had to share: Rooster, first and foremost, just wants love from his humans. He loves our kiddos (ages 3 and 5) and greets all of us with a gentle kiss each morning when we wake up. He has become fast friends with our pup and they race in the yard together, wrestle, play tugof- war and sit side by side to get treats. He respects the cat as the boss of the house and is sure not to cross her path (he has a healthy fear of cats it seems). While he loves to play, he also loves to be brushed and snooze on his dog bed. He sleeps all night on the dog bed and appears to be fully house trained. We even tested this going for a grocery shopping trip and he was great while unsupervised. No accidents and no desire to chew. He is such a love and just wants to be in the same room as his people. Rooster is an unknown mixed breed with an estimated date of birth as Feb. 2, 2022. He has been in the shelter over 132 days. All Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. For more information, people may email havenozarksanctuary@gmail. com, or call at 417-835-3647.
