David Arthur Treat, 62, of Cassville, Mo., died at his home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, unexpectedly after a brief illness.

He was born April 8, 1961, in Springdale, Ark. the son of Cecil and Chlo (Foster) Treat, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was sister, Chelle Treat Catron.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Essary; his daughter, Samantha Treat Woods and granddaughter both of Joplin; sister, Donna Treat Medders and husband Howell Medders of Fayetteville; one niece, and 3 nephews.

He graduated from Northwest AR Vo-Tech with a CDL license. He drove semi-trucks for companies in Ark., Texas, and Mo. Later, he owned a dump truck and backhoe and did landscaping in SW Mo., as well as septic tanks.

He was of the Christian faith.

At David’s request, there will be no services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for his granddaughter, Lilith Woods in care of Fohn Funeral Home.
