Robert Lynn Hayes, 61, of Purdy, Mo. passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, in Joplin, Mo.

He was born November 30, 1962, in Monett, Mo., the son of Bobby and Kay (Nunnallee) Hayes.

Preceding him in death were his father, Bobby Hayes and one brother, Ernie Hayes.

Survivors include his wife, Tamela Pointer; his mother, Kay Hayes of Cassville, Mo.; three sons, Joseph Crow of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Chad Pointer of Purdy, Mo. and Tyler Hayes and his wife Cherie of Mt. Vernon, Mo.; one daughter, Tarah Pointer of Purdy, Mo.; one brother, Kevin Hayes of Cassville, Mo.; one sister, Glenna Hayes of Cassville, Mo. and seven grandchildren.

He grew up and attended school in Cassville, Mo.. He was a self-employed construction worker.

He was a member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church.

Services were held Monday, February 12, 2024 at Gunter Methodist Church in Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle conducted the services. Burial was at Gunter Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo.
