William Erle “Bill” Ash, 70, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Mo.
He was born August 13, 1953, in Cassville, Mo. the son of William Thomas and Muriel (McGaughey) Ash, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was an uncle and aunt Erle and Rachel Rush.
Survivors include one sister, Kathy Meyer and her husband Stan of Fort Worth, Texas; one nephew, Steve Meyer and his wife Melissa of Fort Worth, Texas; one great nephew, Avery Meyer of College Station, Texas and special friends, Alvida Phelps of Cassville, Mo. and Tim Phelps of Cassville, Mo.
He grew up and attended school in Cassville, Mo. graduating, from Cassville High School later attending Southwest Mo. State in Springfield, Mo. earning a bachelor’s degree. He was employed by several Mo. State Parks and retired as the assistant superintendent at Roaring River State Park in Cassville. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Cassville.
A private graveside service was held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
