Two Purdy women were injured in a wreck at 5:12 p.m. on Feb. 29 on Farm Road 2070 at Farm Road 1070, half a mile west of Purdy.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sara Winzer, 43, of Purdy, was driving a 1999 Ford F450 northbound when her vehicle failed to yield at an intersection and was struck by a westbound 1990 Buick LeSabre, being driven by Charmain Wiggers, 56, of Purdy.

Wiggers suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Winzer suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital.

Both drivers were wearing safety devices. The Ford sustained extensive damage, and the Buick was totaled.
