Ruby Fern Stever, 92, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at her home.
ShewasbornNovember 17, 1931, in Seligman, Mo. the daughter of Fern “Doc” and Clara B. (Moore) Edens, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Francis Eugene Stever; and her second husband Samuel Wilson; two brothers, Charles L. Edens and Russell V. Edens; a sister-in-law, Nena Edens and a brother- in-law, Jack Klein.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Stever of Cassville, Mo.; one daughter, Jill Stever of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, J.H. “Red” Edens of Cassville, Mo. and one sister, Oleta Klein of Omaha, Neb.
She grew up and attended school in Cassville, Mo., graduating from Cassville High School in 1949. In 1953 she moved to Kansas City, Mo. and returned to Cassville in 2021. During her time in Kansas City, she was employed by Trans World Airlines as director of archives for 19 years from where she retired in 1995.
She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church in Kansas City.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Mo. under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball conducted the services.
