Mary Katherine Mitchell, 94, of Fairview, Mo. passed away on April 27, 2024, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Mo.

Born on April 17, 1930, in Barry County, Mo., to Chris and Rhoda (Russell) Taylor who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Tom Mitchell; one daughter, Susie Wallace; one son-in-law, Jim Wallace; three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include, her three sons, Gene Mitchell and his wife Irvalene of Neosho, Mo.; Danny Mitchell and his wife Pat of Fairview, Mo. and Johnny Mitchell and his wife Chris of Neosho, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Shiveley and her husband Roger of Springfield, Mo. and Sheila McNabb and her husband John of Wheaton, Mo; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-greatgranddaughter.

After completing her education in Cassville, Mo., Mary embarked on a lifelong journey of companionship and entrepreneurship. Together, she and Tom co-owned and operated the Mitchell Sawmill in Fairview, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo.
