Mary R. “Shelly” Burwell, of Exeter, Mo., known affectionately as Shelly to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

She was born on September 13, 1966, in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of Richard Warren and Joyce Marie (Avila) Mooney, both of whom preceded her in death.

Also preceding her death was her dear son, Jason Burwell.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Burwell; her five daughters, Angel Burdiss of Joplin, Kelley Parman of Exeter, Shelley Burwell of Exeter, Lisa Thomas and her husband Jonathan of Exeter, and Sandra Dunbar of Exeter; brother, Joe and sisters, Tonya, Theresa, and Roxanne, and thirteen grandchildren, She attended Blue Eye High School in Blue Eye, Mo. Following her education, she embraced her role as a homemaker Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at Mount Ararat Cemetery in Cabool, Mo.
