Purdy police seeking info on home invasion

No immediate threat to community from April incident

The Purdy Police Department is seeking information regarding a home invasion where one person was injured and two others assaulted.

Jackie Lowe, Purdy police chief, said on April 20 at around 11:20 p.m., an officer responded to a reported home invasion at 401 N. Business 37, Lot 7.

“The victim reported that two men, wearing bandannas over their faces, entered her residence and assaulted her with a blunt object,” Lowe said. “Two juvenile males were also assaulted by the suspects.”

Lowe said a third masked suspect waited outside of the residence. The victim suffered minor injuries during the assault.

Suspect No. 1 was described as a white male, age 18-20, standing 6-5 to 6-8 and wearing dark clothing. Suspect No. 2 was described as a white male, 6-0 to 6-3, age 18-20 and also wearing dark clothing.

Both suspects wore bandanas over their faces, one red and one green. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and in an unknown vehicle.

Lowe said he does not believe there is a threat to the community, and no other home invasions have been reported.

“They probably knew the victim, but we are still trying to determine that,” he said. “We had some leads initially, but they didn’t pan out, so we’re looking for further information.

Lowe said anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Purdy Police Department by phone at 417-442-7429, via email at purdypd701@mediacombb.net, or via Crime Stoppers at 1-888-635-TIPS.
