Four 2024 graduates of Cassville High School have received scholarships administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
• Avery Chappell, daughter of John and Julie Chappell, received the Olin J. Brattin Scholarship. She is attending Drury University this fall to pursue a degree in marketing and management.
• Chaney Cox, daughter of Johnnie and Megan Cox, received the Joe and JoAnne Ellis and the Doris Lorayne Sims Easley scholarships. She is attending University of Missouri to pursue a degree in textile and apparel management.
• Taylor Smith, daughter of Tori and Jerry Smith, received the Little Joe Trust and the Doris Lorayne Sims Easley scholarships. She is attending the University of Kansas to study nursing.
• Van Thu, son of Thawng Lian and Hniang Ci, received the Doris Lorayne Sims Easley Scholarship. He is attending Crowder College, where he will study theology.
These scholarships are a few of many established at the CFO and the Cassville Community Foundation, the CFO’s affiliate serving the Cassville area, by donors who want to benefit the lives of Cassville High School graduates.
The CFO and its regional affiliate foundations hold about 480 scholarship funds, established by generous donors to help students from across central and southern Missouri achieve their goals of higher education.
