4 youths injured in Seligman wreck

Vehicles collide at intersection of Highways 37, 112

Four juveniles were injured in a wreck at 3:52 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway 112 in Seligman.

According to a Seligman Police report, a 17-year-old male, of Joplin, ,was driving a 2012 GMC Acadia westbound when his vehicle failed to yield to a northbound 2014 Kia Sportage, being driven by a 16-year-old male, of Exeter.

Both drivers, as well as a 17-year-old male, of Independence, in the GMC and a 15-year-old female, of Cassville, in the Kia, suffered minor injuries. All four individuals were driven from the scene by family.

All involved were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles were totaled.

The Seligman Police Department was assisted by the Barry County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol.
