A Cassville woman was injured on Wednesday in a wreck at 7:26 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 86 at Carr Lane.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rita Billington, 62, of Cassville, was driving a 2014 Ford Taurus eastbound when her vehicle failed to slow for an upcoming stop sign and struck the rear of an eastbound 2022 Tesla X, being driven by Clarisse Tallah, 37, of Branson.

Billington and Tallah each suffered moderate injuries. Billington was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville, and Tallah was transported to Cox Hospital in Branson.

Both were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
