Neva “Jean” Kelly, 95, of Monett, Mo. passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo.
She was born August 17, 1929, in Carthage, Mo. the daughter of James and Irene (Wampler) Mevey, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband Wilford Kelly; brother, Benny and three sisters, Helen, Mary and Dorothy.
Survivors include one son, James “Jim” Kelly and his wife Charree of Wheaton, Mo.; two daughters, Jan Bremer and her husband Bob of Monett, Mo. and Karen Merritt and her husband Larry of Monett, Mo.; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She grew up and attended school in Carthage, Mo. graduating from Carthage High School in 1947. She and Wilford moved to Wheaton, Mo. in 1954 where they began farming, raising crops and cattle.
She was a member of Wheaton Southern Baptist Church.
Services were Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Wheaton Southern Baptist Church in Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Mo.
