James “JD” Singley, 87, formerly of Cassville, passed away October 9, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born July 7, 1937 in Truman, Arkansas. He attended Nettleton High School and Arkansas State University, then joined the United States Air Force. He later worked for US Shoe, Jumping Jacks, and Justin Boot.

His parents and brother preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, sons David Singley of Springfield, Brent Singley of Springfield and daughter Lisa Conyers of Springfield. Four grandsons Cody (Allison) Singley, Kyle Singley, Caleb Singley, and Seth Conyers, all of Springfield and one Great-grandson, Nolan Singley.

His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons and watching sports.

Visitation was Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Singley family home.

Interment will be at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
