Jack Alton Hamblett, Jr.

Jack Alton Hamblett, Jr., 83, of Washburn, Mo., passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024.

He was born March 16, 194,1 in Dallas, Texas the son of Jack Hamblett, Sr. and Mary (Piccola) Hamblett, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in was his infant sister, Pamela and brother-inlaw, Gene Box.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; one daughter, Sharon Collie; one son, Jack Hamblett, III (Mandy); one sister, Jeanine Box; two brothers, Ron Hamblett (Sharon) and Gary Hamblett (Renay); eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He attended school in Dallas, graduating from Bryan Adams High School and then attended Texas A&M University. He worked in his parent’s grocery business in Dallas until moving with his wife and children to the Washburn, Mo. area in 1975 to begin dairy farming, broiler houses were added later.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Services were held Monday, October 21, 2024, at Fohn Funeral home in Cassville. Pastor Benjamin Hamblett conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn, Mo.
