oostree Gary Gene Goostree, 80, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

He was born to on May 17, 1944, in Wheaton, Mo Glessnor and Marie (Clanton) Goostree, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Ellis; his two sons, Doug Goostree and his wife Becky, and Dan Goostree and his wife Sarah, of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; one brother, Bill Goostree and his wife Susan of Exeter, Mo.; his five grandchildren, and his seven great grandchildren.

He was highly skilled at small engine repair which led to operating his own business in Wheaton and Cassville for several years. He also worked as a mechanic for the Wheaton School District as well as other side jobs throughout the years. He

enjoyed serving his community as a board member of the Rocky Comfort Cemetery.

Services were held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at The Gathering Tabernacle in Rocky Comfort. Pastor Dan Goostree and Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Mo.
