cJimsey Charles Michael “Mike” (Captain Mac) McJimsey, 78, of Monett, Mo. passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

He was born on September 26, 1946, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Ralph and Syble (Hurst) McJimsey, who preceded him in death.

death was his brother, Patrick McJimsey.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Roulston; one son, Derek McJimsey and his wife Debra of Aurora, Mo.; three daughters, Carrie Jabben and her husband Steve of Cassville, Mo., Michelle Hartman and her husband Bruce of Wichita, Kan. and Wendi Salyer and her husband Dave of Wichita, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He grew up and attended school in Wichita, Kan. graduating from Wichita South High School. On December 16, 1968 he began his career as a fire fighter in Wichita, Kan. He became captain on January 1, 1979 and retired on September 15, 1996.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Eagle Rock-Golden-Mano Fire Department in Eagle Rock, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Mark Dougherty and Pete Peterson will conduct the service. Fire department honors will be provided by Sedgwick County Fire Honor Guard.
