Six Cassville wrestlers left Missouri Arena with new hardware on Thursday, but none more special that the medal hanging from the neck of Colton Roark.

At 165 pounds, Roark earned two major decisions on Day 1 of action, putting him in the semifinals on Day 2 and guaranteeing a medal. In that semifinal, he pinned his opponent, Savannah’s Kaiden Phillips, in 2:31.

Against Hallsville’s Colt West in the championship bout, Roark scored a takedown in the first round and a reverse early in the second, holding a 5-0 lead when opportunity knocked and he pinned West with a rare spladle 2:49 into the match.
